The Hollywood Weekend

We’ve got a lot going on this weekend and aside from just reminding you, I wanted to give out a few tips as well (because I’m just a helpful fella). First, as part of our regular programming for the week, the Oscar-nominated Shorts program is returning on Friday and will be running all week! I know that I always feel a little out of the loop when they get to the shorts because I’ve rarely seen any (except for Pixar entries), so this is a great way to get up to speed (perhaps for our FREE Oscar Night Party?).

There will also be a free screening of The Athlete on Friday at 7 PM as part of the Cascade Festival of African Films. We had a CFAF screening two weeks ago and it was packed, so if you are planning on coming, I urge you to show up early as it’s first come, first serve seating.

And if that isn’t enough, we will be showing not one, but TWO PIFF After Dark films.  Rubber is showing Friday at 11:30 P.M. and Outrage will show Saturday at 11:30 P.M. Tickets are going fast for these films and I strongly advise purchasing them in advance.

That’s it for now and have a great weekend! Hope to see you at the theater!

And, we can’t forget the PIFF After Dark films:

PIFF After Dark

The Portland International Film Festival starts today and we’re all incredibly excited. Not just because there are going to be tons of great movies showing, but because we’re going to be part of it this year!

Our own Dan Halsted is helping to bring a new type of experience to PIFF with PIFF After Dark. We’ll be screening two of those films:

Rubber (which couldn’t look more amazing if it wanted to)
Friday Feb. 18th at 11:30pm at The Hollywood Theatre

Outrage
Saturday Feb. 19th at 11:30pm at The Hollywood Theatre
