From the press release:
Saturday at 3pm join us for a
PEP RALLY FOR THE ARTS
Celebrating the University of Oregon’s invitation to play in the BCS National Championship game on January 10th, Film Action Oregon is partnering with Rose City author, speaker and creative catalyst Kevin Carroll to create some “Game Day” excitement for FAO’s film production and animation education programs by hosting an inspiring Pep Rally for the Arts. This exciting event will bring the stadium experience to the Hollywood Theatre, providing a creative collision of film, food and sports. Kevin will screen clips from some of the most powerful sports films ever produced, revealing the power of sport and film’s ability to capture our imagination, stir our emotion and inspire us to support arts education for young people because film can transform lives.
Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students and are available here.
And while we’re on the subject, on Monday, January 10th at 5:30 PM, we’ll be screening the BCS Title game. Come watch the Ducks fight off the Tigers for the National Championship (which, sounds a little lopsided if you go solely based on mascot species).
Beer will be provided by Bridgeport Brewing.
